Peter Burge

CEO · Cofounder

Twenty years in veterinary medicine, spent on both sides of the table. He's owned and operated hospitals, lived the daily grind of payroll, margins, and short staffed mornings, and sat across from owners as an operator in PE backed M&A, seeing firsthand where the deals worked and where they didn't. That dual vantage point, owner and operator, buyer and seller, is what convinced him the industry needed something built differently.

CCO · Cofounder

More than twenty five years scaling the financial side of veterinary medicine. As an outside advisor, he helped SignatureFD build a wealth management practice tailored to veterinary hospital owners, helped stand up Calico Veterinary Lending, and was there from the ground floor with several of the founding hospitals inside the Suveto network. Today he's also a minority owner in a regional group of hospitals, so the challenges Patch solves for are ones he still lives.

A decade spent building enterprise software, starting at Deloitte in management consulting before moving into engineering leadership at TravelPerk, where he led international engineering teams shipping at scale. That combination of translating complex business problems into technical strategy, then building the teams that execute on it, is why Patch's infrastructure is built to be defensible, not just functional.

About Patch

We help vets help pets.

Patch was built by people who've owned the hospital, financed the hospital, and built the software. We started Patch because we lived the problem we're solving.

Why Patch exists

Veterinary practices are sitting on more data than they've ever had, and using less of it than ever. The PMS knows every invoice. Payroll knows every hour. The bank knows every dollar. But none of them talk to each other, so the owner ends up running on a six week old P&L and a gut feeling.

Every hospital needs someone watching the numbers every day. Almost nobody has the time. Patch does that work continuously and surfaces what matters, so you and your manager can act on it instead of assembling it. AI is what makes that possible at this price.

Built for how your practice actually runs.

Setup takes about an hour, then Patch keeps your systems current on its own. Ask it anything, decide what to do, get back to why you became a vet.
